Feedback on XA kit for MY00 WRX
"Hi Brett & Chris, First chance I've had to send you guys some feed-back on
the XA kit you fitted for me recently. It's definitely improved the
'driveability' of the rex, with boost coming on in a much more linear fashion
compared to stock, and with more torque I'm finding that I can stay in a higher
gear going uphills rather than having to change down. The loss of boost @ 4,000
rpm has also disappeared (most probably due to the replacement of the AFM and
the O2 sensor). The 3' muffler has a nice 'rumble' to it, however it's not
obtrusive and has passed the most important test (...the wife). Next upgrades
will be to the handling and the brakes (remember the squeaky Bendix Ultimates),
and then the quest for more power continues! I'd just like to say that you were
both very professional to deal with, so keep up the great work!"

Subaru Impreza MY06 STi XB Kit
"Hi Brett, thought that I would give you some feedback on the work you guys
did on my 2006 STI. Whist the car had only done 3000 odd kms, I needed more
performance, and dare I say a more sporty sound! Your advice to go to an XB kit
was followed, and I have not been disappointed on any front. Perceived
performance is up (I have not had it on a track yet), fuel economy has improved,
the car IS more driveable, and it sounds like an STI should. The thing that
impressed me most was the quality of the work done, and as I am fastidious about
my cars appearance, the manner in which you treated “my baby” was superb. As a
result, I trusted you with my first log book service, and as expected, I was
equally impressed. Thanks for your guidance and work, and rest assured that I
will recommend MRT to any one looking
to have quality work done on their cars."

MY01 WRX
"Hi Brett - I've finally got the chance to sit down & write to you about my WRX as promised. I own a MY01 WRX which I've owned since new. I leased the car for 3 years through my work and decided to buy it outright at the end of the lease because the balloon payment was relatively low. I loved the car but because I'd had it for 3 years, the thrill was wearing off & I was considering trading it in on a new model or on a STI to get bit more grunt. However when I looked into it, the trade up price was in the order of $20 to $30k (for the STI). So, I thought I should consider getting some basic mods to breath some life into the old girl instead.
I think I made "the classic" mistake that many WRX owners make. I called into a local performance exhaust joint. They recommended a 3" stainless steel Hi-Tech full exhaust which they said would give me an extra 20kw. I read up about Hi-Tech on the internet and it had some good reports, so I forked over around $2k and drove away delighted...for a very short while. For the first few days the car reacted violently to the new exhaust. Power was full on, with huge lag on the turbo giving a whip like effect. Over the next couple of days the car seamed to settle down until finally after a week or so, the increased power seemed to disappear altogether. I mentioned this to a business associate in Melb who also had a WRX. He told me the computer "relearns" and prevents the engine behaving so erratically to prevent engine damage, and that overtime it removes the initial power gains from the exhaust. He also recommended MRT who had worked on his car & said they'd done a great job. Feeling as though I'd wasted $2k, I went back to the exhaust joint who told me this was "normal" and they recommended a chip mod. Thanks for telling me guys, after you sold me the exhaust without mentioning it - jerks.
So I decided to contact MRT. After
a good chat to Brett, I purchased a XB upgrade (minus the exhaust) and I have
never looked back. The car has a whole new feel and the power gains are just
stunning. The power is very usable, kicking in at lower revs and builds solidly
throughout the rev range. The increased torque was amazing. It now pulls from
higher gears easily, something that I just didn't do when it was stock standard.
It has more power than I can use and is just a very enjoyable drive, even in
traffic (I commute from the Hills district to Pyrmont
every day) Basically I feel I've added another 3-4 years life to the car. I just
wouldn't consider trading it in at the moment. Maybe until the 2.5ltr WRX
finally arrives.
I would have no hesitation in recommending MRT.
They knew what they were talking about, they recommended the right upgrade pack
to suit me and the cars performance over delivered on my expectations. Thanks"

MY99 Impreza WRX STi XB Power Kit.
"
Hi Guys
Last night I had the joy of competing in 1/4 drag racing at WSID. Must admit
that I was a little nervous with anticipation as I have not counted down a
Christmas tree for 15 years. I was curious to know what times I would achieve
and have a bit of fun at the same time. I also needed to get the car up to a
high speed to ensure the earlier electrical gremlin I experienced does not
surface at the EC super sprint. Not wanting to exceed the speed limit on a
public road by too much I thought that a drag race would be in order. The
interesting display of cars was a bonus, everything from street machines, ex
taxis, Bogan specials, fast fours & rotaries, dedicated drag cars and or course
WRX's.
Only had 3 runs for the night as it was very busy. I wanted a good time straight away so I dialled up about 6000 RPM let the clutch quickly and rowed through all the gears with a semi flat change, changing gears at 7000rpm.. First relief was that the drivetrain held together, the second surprise was the time of 12.6 @ 175km/hr. I was hoping for a 12.9 or so but to get a lower time was a bonus.
I
had a lot of wheel spin on the first pass so I thought I would try less
revs and tried 5000 rpm and changing gears at 6700rpm. The car had less wheel
spin, felt a little better but had a marginally slower time of 12.7 @175km/hr.
The third pass I was kicked off due to excessive use of the water spray, pre stage. Officials thought my car developed a water leak and I had to plead with them to let me back on. I should not have bothered lining up again as I lost concentration at the lights and did not dial up enough revs and the car bogged the start badly , resulting in a slow time of 13.1 , same terminal speed.
It is interesting to note that the terminal speed did not change in all 3 runs, as this is a direct result of the power of the engine. Times are only effected by the technique used. I was happy with the result as the only performance mods on my cay which is a 99 V6 STi is a MRT XB kit and water spray. The XB kit consists of a full exhaust (quietest of course) with splitter, custom tune EcuTek, cold air intake, car runs a safe tune with only 17PSI as I will be doing lots of super sprinting with it. In this environment of constant workshop criticism I would like to thank Brett Middleton for doing a great job on the car.
On the way home I couldn't wipe the smile off my face as I had lots of fun
and the satisfaction of knowing that with a small investment I can
out-accelerate all new production cars except a handful of exotic supercars.....I
would highly recommend club members participate in this sport, lots of joy to be
had for only $45..."

MY06 Impreza WRX power kit XC
"Hi Brett, Sorry for the delay in getting this to you mate!! Let me start by saying one word... WOW!!!!
The difference in the car between the standard car and the car with the XB kit was incredible. The car with the XC kit is now an absolute rocket ship. In saying that the car is a rocket ship it is also very comfortable and easy to drive on my daily commute through the city traffic, if anything the car is easier drive with the massive torque kicking in earlier and stronger than before the car was modified.
The car has a slightly more turbo lag due to the larger VF30 turbo but this is still minimal. Once the turbo has spooled up you are thrown back in the seat and the car is off like stink!!!! Mid range power is also greatly increased making the car a much more enjoyable drive. The increase in performance has been so great that I am now looking for ways of bringing the rest of the package up to scratch in terms of suspension and brakes.
To Brett and the team at MRT well done on delivering a package that not only
provides stunning performance but one that is safe and reliable."

Drag time at Sydney's Eastern Creek
"Hi Brett, Went to the drags last night and achieved a great time of 12.6 @
175 km. Gave you a plug on cracker as per email below. Sorry but it absolutely
too busy at work this week to call my customers for referrals, will call them
next week when things settle down. Thanks again for setting up my car well."

“Hi Brett, I took my MY05 wagon to WSID on Wednesday night for the street
meet. It has the MRT 3" exhaust with
the oval muffler and cat in the up pipe, ECUTEK 1.5 tune, 500hp fuel pump (from
the XB kit) but as yet is still running the standard air filter. (So not the
full XB kit yet!) With the spare tyre out and a tank full of BP ultimate plus
104+ octane boost it ran a 13.73@160km/h (99.55mph), that was with an air temp
of 32°C. Can't wait to get the CAI and the pod
filter on and go back on a cold night (with a little more experience now between
the steering wheel and the front seat!) I must say I was really impressed with
this time, especially on a very hot night. Still not as quick as my old RX2 but
we are far from finished yet! Thank You"

Impreza MY01 XB Power kit
"Hi Brett, I am Andrew Tran, I would like to say thanks
for your professional advise and services. I am very happy with my car after all
the modifications has been done to it. The mods. I've done are front mount
intercooler, MRT XB kit, New
MRT Clutch and
MRT Flywheel, GFB Stealth Bloff valve, Air intake and DBA
disc. I'm amazed how much power and torque I can feel in car now. (It's
alive...) Well.. I'm looking forward to install GFB pulley kit, and have car on
the DYNO, I would like to see how much boost and KWs I'm gaining from the mods.
Hoping to see you soon. Once again thanks Brett and Chris. I'll surely recommend
MRT to all my mates."

Forester Turbo 2500cc XT power kit feedback
"I guess everyone has been asking about the XC kit. I thought everyone would
be commenting. I had mine for a while now it does 4's 0-100 now 2nd question was
it worth it. I answer that by what happened the other night. This 200sss that
had this huge front mount intercooler lowered till it was virtually scrapping on
the ground big tail and an exhaust you could put you head in just finished
blowing away a 350 Commodore by a couple lengths when down the road a bit
further I ended beside them both in my shopping trolley with roof racks at a set
of lights that seem to take forever with them reving away. Nice straight up a
hill road. So lights turn green I launch pretty hard wheelspinning slightly
Commodore was toasted pretty much straight away by us ricers every gear change I
was pulling away to the sounds of his blowoff valve. He was that surprised he
turned off where I turned off and followed me till the next round about and U
turned the way he came. Yeah its a great package and I have no regrets. I
want to do more with my suspension and brakes and am waiting for
MRT to finish the Cam R&D before making
another commercial decision about my next upgrades."

XT Forester 2004 XC Power Kit
"Hi Ben, Ok the car seems to have settled in and I like what the kit gives
me. I am surprised on how little lag penalty there is with going to the larger
turbo. The VF34 spools only a few 100rpms later than the TD04 which was a
concern. Not only the torque increase is addictive but the top end improvement
is amazing. I have tested this theory against a mate V8 as with XA kit I could
only just keep up with him on a roll. Now I can easily pull past and keep
pulling away. The car seems to get better the more you drive it, just doing
general driving (overtaking, keeping up with the flow of traffic etc.) is a
pleasure with extra power. The power doesn’t feel unsafe though as the missus
drives the car regularly and has commented on how user friendly the car is."

"G'day Brett, Just wanted to thank you & your team for all the great work you
performed on my car, it's made such an improvement on how the car drives. My EVO
6 now has loads more power & is so much easier to drive. There is so much mid
range power making much nicer to drive on half throttle & giving amazing
throttle response. Plant your right foot & my EVO 6 now puts a huge smile on my
face & would highly recommend anyone with a EVO to take it to
MRT for some mods. Thanks again for
your professionalism & quality work, I'll be bringing my car back for some more
work soon."

“Well I decided to sell the ‘MRT

" ....just thought I would give some feedback regarding my experience in
having an exhaust fitted to my RX.
What more can I say but I am extremely happy with the exhaust. Much more power
throughout the rev range, especially around 3000 - 4000rpm where there seemed to
be a flat spot previously. And the thing I was most impressed about was the
sound inside the car. When cruising you would not even know it was there, but
upon acceleration, very impressive!! Just thought I would share my experience.
Keep up the good work and I will certainly be referring my friends! "

"Brett, Just wanted to say thanks for the service you
and the guys gave me on Saturday. It is refreshing to find a company that backs
up the products it sells.....The warranty saved me heaps, and to tell you the truth, I
didn't even remember it was still under warranty until our phone conversation
last week ! Thanks again + congrats on the new team member. Hope all is
well."
.....Ben Taylor
".... I was particularly impressed with your professionalism,
and that of your staff ..... not only do the modifications work, they look great."
Andrew Gee, Ermington NSW
"A few notes regarding the mods you guys did to my Liberty a
couple of weeks back.... Intercooler pump and radiator combination works well. Car doesn't
lose power like it did before after several minutes of hard driving. Also not as affected
by hot weather.... suspension setup very good. Shocks/springs give the car much better
turn in and stability through corners. Very little if any understeer or oversteer (unless
I'm being REALLY stupid)."
......Ben Taylor, Sydney
"To all the staff at MRT.... thanks for all your help and for
the wonderful service that you give each and every time I bring my car in....."

"The fog light covers I bought from you have
already paid for themselves! A rock smashed the right cover, but did not damage
the fog light."
.....Robert Ohlhausen
"Hi Sam - fitted the anti lift kit, as well as the
sway bar links - WOW!!! What a difference - car feels much more solid - you guys
(as always) were right!"
.......adam
"The rear steel sway bar links, fitted at
MRT's
suggestion, have made a significant difference! The car is now settles into a
cornering attitude much more quickly and is much easier to get into a (small)
neutral drift on known bends. These links are inexpensive, and easy to
recommend. "
........Nick Warne
"The work on the suspension has really done the
trick.... the turn-in is much quicker and more precise, steering feel is a lot
better and the understeer is no longer an issue, even cornering uphill on
off-cambered road. This is especially the case when cornering under power - the
car just grabs the corner and powers out of it - So much better than standard.
You were right..."
.....Paul Turvey
"Hi fellas - I'm just writing on Brett's suggestion and give feedback on the 'GFB PULLEY KIT' you installed on my MY01/02 WRX a few weeks ago.
Note: Car already has ECUTEK 'XB' upgrade.
Overall, I'm impressed and very happy with the difference in performance and
drivability I've noticed since installing the pulley kit. The engine feels
'lighter', is more responsive and revs out smoother from low revs. Gear changes
seem smoother as the engine revs hold better b/w changes. The car does seem to
have accelerate from low revs more briskly , especially in 'normal' day to day
driving. That claimed 5-9 kw power increase may be true!
(Haven't had the chance to test in the top end revs).
The most noticeable difference is at idle and low revs. Idle is noticeably quieter with less overall engine noise and vibration. With the quieter engine, it sounds more sedan-like now except for the nice rumble from the 3'inch exhaust and oval muffler. So this aspect might not please the younger guys.
At very low revs, the car is also a lot more 'drivable' in peak hour stop/start Sydney traffic or plodding around carparks. I find I don't need to play with the clutch or gear up/down b/w 1st and 2nd to avoid stalling. On level ground, I can just leave it in 2nd and the engine spins freely without risk of stalling.
So overall, a minor but great upgrade for the Rex for the $400 or so ."

"I just wanted to say that i'm very pleased with the Group
A Rampod kit for my WRX!! - Not only does it perform beautifully, it sounds
sensational and looks
tuff! Thanks MRT"
.........Michael Smith
"After hearing how loud the Rampods can be, I was pleasantly
surprised. At normal cruising speeds you can hardly hear it, which it great, but
then open up the throttle and it sounds very impressive. My friends were also
suitably impressed.
Thanks for convincing me to go this way."
....Kyle
"The car and the bits are great. Very happy with the exhaust
you fitted and the Rampod improvment over standard is quite substantial. My wife is
driving it at the moment and likes the sounds it now makes so much she actually turns the
radio off! to listen to the rumble and woosh".
Thanks again....Mark Eagles
".... after the conversion, (following your
recomendations), I
found that the flat spot of the carby motor had completely gone and the motor produced
power that was controllable..... My car runs to and from Sydney on a regular basis (I live
in Lismore) and I found that the conversion has taken 30 minutes off the trip. Not from
extra speed, but from the power going up hills...."
David Alstonville, NSW
"Dear Brett.
... just a quick update on the rampod, which is now fitted. Because the
car has a Motec M800 ECU with data logging I am able to measure accurately all
system parameters. Regarding the rampod I found the Inlet pressure dropped
between the air filter and the turbo with k&n panel filter in standard
airbox 3.87 psi, with rampod .0532 psi ! Thanks."
Tony, NSW
"...the Lightweight Flywheel is great! It
changes the character of the car. The engine spins up and slows down like a race
car. That old, slow, 1st to 2nd change is now much faster..... I had expected
the f/w to make pulling away from rest and slow traffic jamming more difficult,
but it isn't. One has to make an adjustment in technique, but after that it is
as easy as before. The idle is rock solid at 600rpm, as before..... Unlike most
mods, this is a change that you will appreciate every time you drive the car,
not just going flat chat."
..........Nick (making brmm-brmm noises) Warne
"Just a quick note to let you know how happy I am
with my recently installed front-mount intercooler. I
was cautious about this mod, mostly because of the cost vs benefits, especially
when plenty of people tell you that you'll increase turbo lag because of all
the long piping etc. Well after driving around for a couple of days with my
trick-looking front-mount, I couldn't be happier! I am actually experiencing
slightly MORE torque off boost, and turbo spool up time is unchanged. And when
it does spool up...wow! An astounding power increase. The pipe work is very tidy
too....... Money well spent."

"Brett, I have recently taken delivery of my 99 ver5 STi with upgraded motor (2.5 litre). It all started on Friday late afternoon when I was taken for a quick lap around the back streets of Ryde. As a passenger, the motor felt strong with ample amounts of torque down low in the rev range. Once I took the helm, I found myself barely giving any throttle and the STi happily motored along through traffic. During the course of the weekend, I went on varying low speed drives finding excuses to go to the corner store to get milk (just to drive her). I am pleasantly surprised at the drivability of the STi, as she is my daily ride to and from work. I cannot wait for the ‘run in’ period to end and to feel what life is like on the other side of 4,000 rpm (and 11psi). Thank you for the care taken with my STi, she has no workshop blemishes. It is good to see a workshop that takes care of their customer cars as they would their own. I apologise for the endless amounts of telephone calls and visits in keeping with the progress of the rebuild. More organisations should run their business with the same level of professionalism as MRT. You have gained a loyal customer. Thanks again." - Nicholas Jamsek

up with your full Turbo back exhaust. I got the twin tip (the police are
cracking down on the little shit head kids with there 'Rocket Launcher' tail

The performance has also improved very much. A new blow off and full front brake

but now I'm addicted! You guys are a big help and your products are the finest.
Keep it up.

"After extensive evaluation and long hard drives through the country I can say that the MRT 3 inch stainless, 2 muffler exhaust system with the prodrive modification at the Turbo end cooks."
"There is more power everywhere with great top end power sadly
missing with the standard system. The most impressive aspect is the sound, subdued,
un-intrusive yet deep, rumbling transforming into a roar with the throttle ON."
......Vic Scona, Sydney
"Hi Brett, The exhaust is excellent and has to be the best
thing I have added to the car to date. Only point is that I was hoping that it would make
a little louder sound.
....Thanks, Barry.

"I have an MRT Exhaust and Group A Ram-pod. All I can say is it
is fantastic! Brett is right, you get what you pay for. I think the system is worth the
money. Why put an inferior system on a superior vehicle?"
......Keith Davis
"I have an MRT exhaust with the centre muffler and have
found the whole package to be excellent. The improvement to my 94 wagons takeoff from a
standing start is unbelievable. The car now feels like a normally aspirated car when its
not on boost. I also installed the Group N kit with the air induction which has improved
the cars performance, it no longer feels weak on very hot days"
.....Mike Lieberman
"The work on the exhaust is also terrific....
starting with the engine pipe then back with stainless three inch and twin
mufflers. The sound is great - more throaty but not loud or intrusive.
No loss of ground clearance either - a really neat design and fitting job.
Pick-up is even more flexible than before at low revs, which is great in the
traffic, but the best thing is the reduction in turbo lag. This is really
noticeable. To me, the standard throttle response was sort of 'doughy' and a
little bit unpredictable due to the turbo lag. Now, the motor is more responsive
off-boost and the turbo is virtually waiting there all the time just a touch
away anywhere above 2500 revs, really progressive and controlled...."
.....Paul Turvey
"I have just returned home from your workshop after having the complete
exhaust fitted. Let me say that I am very impressed with the system. The
service and workmanship is number one. Even though I replaced a 3" system
(remember the crappy bodge job I emailed you about), with your 3" system I
noticed a big difference. Not only is it quieter but it obviously breathes
better as I have had to adjust the electronic boost down 1.5 psi. On the system
I had max boost was set at 15psi and when coming home from you guys it spooled
up faster and reached closer to 17psi. It also drives better at crawling pace in
traffic. Definitely worth the money. Just goes to show, not all 3" exhaust
systems are the same.
.....Regards, Rod S
" I'm just writing to let you know how impressed I am
with the new exhaust system you fitted to my '99 RX (non turbo). I can
now hear the exhaust inside the cabin but it's by no means loud or boomy, it
just has a gruntier note - even my girlfriend likes it..... On the performance
side, there is a noticeable difference in power and much improved fuel economy
when I'm not flooring it to hear the exhaust. Thanks for the great service -
I'll continue to recommend you my other Subie-driving friends."
.....Regards, TC
"Thanks for the work on the RX last
Friday. It took a few days for your exhaust system to 'settle in', but now I'm
quite astonished with the difference in power and smoothness. The familiar
hesitation problems and power drop in the 3000-4500 rpm rev range have all
disappeared. I think this must be due to the restrictive oem headers, although
initially I thought it may have been caused by an over-sensitive knock sensor.
I actually have a smooth, luscious torque band to play with, meaning I can
correct around fast corners using the throttle - something that was a very
random event before.
The car doesn't bog down on low rpm launches, it just pulls smoothly all the way
to the redline. I honestly never thought my car would do this. I've actually
lost it into oversteer several times on wet roads, under acceleration. You may
be used to a WRX, but this is actually quite impressive for a naturally
aspirated AWD.
All in all, the car is much more flexible and nimble, and those GTis and Pulsars
are no way near as irritating as they were before! "

rampod and exhaust package was awesome. Thanks to Brett for suggesting the Dyno,

"I have had the Turbo Timer & Alarm (FT 1007) installed for about 4 months now with no problems. I find the TT being integrated into the alarm is an excellent feature in that I have a minimum of aftermarket wiring connected into the original loom thus minimising the possibility of problems with shorts and bad connections, plus it looks a lot neater.
I also found the MRT guys to be very helpful. I purchased the unit from
MRT
for about $450 and paid a minimal amount to have it installed. You will find
that most alarms (provided they comply with the Australian standards) are fairly
similar in what protection they offer, the major difference is in how they are
installed ie: how well the wiring / control box is hidden, this of course
depends on how good (read: careful / caring / professional) your installer is.

gaining from the mods. Hoping to see you soon. Once again thanks Brett and
Chris. I'll surely recommend MRT to
all my mates."

"You asked for some feedback on those super Pagid pads that Steve
put into Mum's car at the last service. All I can say is awesome! We ran
yesterday at Eastern Creek, the track temp was probably around 28-30 degrees.
After a few slowish runs during the first session I realised that whilst on
other tracks I was able to set fast times due to a lack of brake use, Eastern
Creek was going to be a serious problem due to our lack of straight line speed.
With some seriously fast straights, usually ending in a seriously sharp second
gear corner I became reliant upon late braking in order to keep speeds as high
as possible on the corner approaches. I have never felt the brakes on our WRX
bite so hard, even after 5 lap sessions during the middle of the day (about
20km's of flat out racing). In many cases, especially on the second corner
straight following the main straight, I was able to approach at 185km/h
and leave the braking until about 50m before the second gear left. I
would like to check out the pad wear, but the feel didn't change from the
first session until the last and that was 10 runs between Mum and myself. I
managed to squeeze a 1m52.5s out of the car, not too bad when you
consider Nigel (quickest Rex) lapped consistent 1m48's. See you later!"

"I have just fitted my new DBA slotted discs , they are a true
work of art casting is very nice and design is very good , you don't
need to be a rocket scientist to see they will be leap years a head
of the STD OEM rotor I run these on and off the track , I use my STD
Subaru pads for the road and never could say a good word on these pads ,
they have no stoping power and fade at the sight of a hard stop . Well the
new DBA discs have turned the std pads into something that works and keeps
on working, after having done a down hill run with 15 hairpins they just keep on
working and have much better bite , even at the last hairpin I was able to bring
on the ABS and never hade any fade with a nice firm pedal to the
end."

"Well, the guinea pig is responding well to the driving light transplant
you boys performed. The (largely useless) factory fog lights went
into retirement to make way for 100W Cibie driving spots and what a
difference! The night trip to the farm was a breeze, with all livestock
and wildlife clearly visible from half a kilometre. Even the tricky bends on the
dirt stretches between Taralga and Porter's Retreat were no problem. Hard
to think I'd been relying on memory for the last few years to overcome hopeless
high beams during those night drives. While the MY99 Outback/Liberty is a great
improvement over the old model in the headlight stakes (and low beam is just
fine for city driving), MRT should be congratulated for the neat fit and amount
of improvement these Cibies provide. One other unexpected bonus - I can't think
of a single trip before this last one where EVERY car coming the other way had
dimmed their lights before they came into my view. They must have seen me coming
- and that is a good safety feature too. Keep up the good work."

RE: MRT replacement 100W spot light kit....
" We talked a while ago about the fog/driving lights and I ended up buying
them. They are the greatest thing I have done to my car yet and because of there
quality and brightness I have had very little problems with them. There has been
times that I believe they have saved my life or at least my car. Being able to
see a deer from a quarter mile away is a real help and also being able to see
the reflective decal's of police cars comes in handy too."

"Hello Ben, just to confirm, I have had the new CEL unit installed by
Jap-Innovations just before Christmas and I have done over 500 miles with NO Cel
light on, I don't want to tempt fate too much but it does seemed to have worked.
Once again thanks for all your help in getting my problem resolved, Jap-Innovations
have been great in sorting the problem and you guys at
MRT have been equally
good in sorting the original problem and delivering the correct hardware."

"Hi Brett, I would just like to say a huge thank you to yourself and Paul for
making the long trip up to the Northern Territory in my mind the exercise was a
complete success with everyone being really happy with the results. I cannot
thank you enough for taking the time to come up here and provide us with a
service that we have been in need of for a very long time so again I thank you.
The professionalism of yourself and Paul has won our loyalty to
MRT and we all look forward to the
dealing with you time and time again and I will never hesitate to recommend
MRT to anyone."

"I have definitely noticed an improvement in performance, particularly in the low-mid end. The acceleration is much better and the transition between gears feels a lot smoother. I've also noticed an improvement in sound, mostly at between 1500-2000 revs. After I replaced the exhaust there was a definite drone (not a lot but noticeable) at the low end. But now the drone is gone and it sounds much better....sounds better at idle as well.
I took Paul for a drive yesterday and he has noticed a big difference. I guess passengers would notice more than the driver especially when planting the accelerator. Fuel consumption is slightly higher but I guess that is due to how I'm driving it now!
Hope that all makes sense, let me know if it doesn't or if you want more
info."

"Brett, Thanks for the follow up. I had my car done about a month ago. To say
that I am pleased with the results is an understatement. The ECUTEK has
transformed the engine response and the improved power and torque are quite
noticeable. This together with the exhaust mod, have made the car a much
improved package. Pass on my thanks to Chris for his work. At all times I was
kept informed of what was happening or needed, what it would cost and any
consequences as a result. Needless to say I will be back at
MRT for all future work on my B4 Liberty"

Tune ups Ford XR6 Turbo ECU re tune
"Brett,
I just wanted to drop you and the MRT
gang a note to say once again how impressed I am with the work you’ve carried
out on the STFORD BA XR6 Turbo. It’s really amazing to think that with
relatively minor bolt-on modifications you can get over 270kW at the rear wheels
and still have a car that’s totally driveable in peak-hour traffic, yet turns
into a snarling ferocious animal when you get it out on your favourite section
of driver’s road.
I can’t begin to tell you what a smile I get on my face every time I drive the thing, and funnily enough, it’s not even the power that impresses most. Since the flash tune upgrade, the amount of torque produced in the midrange is nothing short of phenomenal. When I drive it now I rarely have to go any further than half throttle in any situation, as the amount of torque on tap from standstill is just freakish. I’ve said it to you before, but the closest sensation I’ve ever felt to it is the shove in the back you get when an airliner goes to full power as it takes off down a runway. One point of particular interest to me was the Hyperflow intercooler that you installed. Being near to double the size of the factory unit I certainly expected it to improve the heat-sink issue (which it has done in spades) but what I didn’t expect – and am pleasantly surprised at – is that the car runs noticeably cooler in all situations – to the point where the difference is measurable on the temp gauge.
Lastly, I must thank you for your advice on replacing the dump pipe and
catalytic converter. I was amazed to see the car pulling this sort of power and
still be running the factory exhaust from the cat back. Expect a call from me
early in the New Year to arrange for MRT
to continue work on upgrading the engine, as I’ve been extremely happy with the
quality of workmanship and level of service that you and your team have
provided. Best Wishes to you and everyone for the holiday season,"

Vehicle Servicing
"Hi Brett, Thanks for your and the team's time today. I just wanted to say
that, for what my opinion is worth, I find the
customer experience at MRT to be
great and that it is really evident that you have thought out every aspect of
your service. The ability to work and access the internet, approachable and well
spoken staff, a genuine effort as ensuring client needs are met, seeking
feedback...even the nice little MRT
keyring things (vs crappy bit of card), they all say quality to me. I would
definitely recommend to others that they use MRT
for car service and all your other offerings. Your service is far above
manufacturer dealers for example.
I guess your coach has helped with such things but it's gotta be your
commitment to such quality that really drives things, and I am really pleased to
be able to contribute in my little way. AFAIAC your 'brand'is all of the above,
not just a logo and marketing collateral - the whole client experience needs to
be cohesive and yours is great in that sense."
......Cheers, Steve
"Hi Brett, Just wanted to thank you and your guys for their help in fixing the
problem with the rear suspension in the WRX. The issue was as you diagnosed and
they have replaced both to rear struts on the car under warranty. The car is now
back to normal and feeling great. Thanks once again for
MRT's help. "
......Regards, Chris
"No worries. I appreciated having my car serviced at short notice. Staff were
very professional. I will definitely be coming back."

"Just wanted to say thanks for organising the lights for the S3! They are
fantastic and a good smooth order/install all round! Took my first trip up to
Snowy recently since having them in and what a difference!!! Why would you use
anything else? Pleasure dealing with you.
Cheers and have a nice Christmas"

"Hi Chris and Ben, Once again on behalf of the MR2 Owners Club of NSW I would
like to thank you for hosting the tech night last night. All the boys thoroughly
enjoyed it and personally I learnt a lot. It was the best tech night we've had
so far. If ok with you and as you mentioned at the end, we'll put something on
our website that says for the months of March and April members will receive a
10% discount on suspension work at MRT.
I'll definitely take advantage of this offer as I'm planning to get the
Whiteline adjustable sway bars. Btw, my engine is running so much better after
the dyno tune. Thanks for that. Please pass on my thanks to Brett for allowing
us to use the premises."
........Regards, Ian Hung
