MRT Subaru Impreza WRX

MRT are pleased campaign a Subaru  Impreza WRX in the 2000 Australian Rally Championship. Based on the successes of the team in F2 and combined with the resources of the MRT Performance workshop (Australia's largest Subaru specialists), MRT will campaign the car in the outright category of the ARC.

Known as FIA group A this will allow the team to be very competitive in the Privateers Cup. Added to the fact that the car is an existing Championship winning car (99 Group N) MRT will be at the fore front of the series, chasing every opportunity to push the WRC cars of Bates and Bourne should they make any mistake!

"I am extremely excited to run this car" Brett said, "many of our clients through MRT Performance have wanted us to run a WRX for many years, and I must say their enthusiasm encouraged us to make this big step" he added.

Brett Middleton"We constantly have three or four WRX's in the workshop every day. With the amount we have learned about these cars, both for the street and rallying , it's a logical progression to compete in one ourselves."

MRT Performance also expects to reap the rewards of further development of the many parts they provide to enthusiastic road car owners as well as existing rally car teams. "The fact that we will be more active with the WRX means we will develop parts faster and our clients will benefit even more" Brett said. "My mind is buzzing with ideas and its this enthusiasm that the whole team now has for 2000" he added.
