8th March 2002 - Sydney Harbour City Rally Begins
| The Harbour City Rally got underway tonight under lights at
King Street Wharf, Sydney. The atmosphere was electric with the sounds and
sights of rally cars at high speed on stage one tonight.
With the lovely and glamorous models accompanying Brett & Andrew on the start ramp, the night had just begun. Stage One was a 1.1km run on tarmac in front of many spectators packed in to the wharf. It was MRT's time to run and the rain came down. With not much traction, Brett put on a show of sideways driving for the crowd. And still resulting in a very respectable 1min29sec stage time sitting in equal 12th position. Tomorrow's action starts in the forest of Wyong with the final stage under lights back on King St Wharf ! For results visit: http://www.rally.com.au/arc2002/harbourcity/
