Coopers Pale Ale Rally of SA on the horizon
The next event for MRT is drawing close, the Coopers Pale Ale rally of SA.
This event was a good one for the team last year, coming eighth in extreme conditions of very heavy rain and deep mud. This year the team will have the latest specification FALKEN tyres including the latest narrow tread "mud" tyre. A 'freshen up ' of the Group A engine has been undertaken as a precaution since the last event and as yet a vital headgasket has not arrived. Its expected to arrive by air this week, close, but we are confident it will be in time.
All other parts are ready and the car looks brand new since its trip to PREMIER PANEL BEATING, just bout all panels were re painted!
Shane the head mechanic at MRT Performance, has arrived back from his overseas trip (to Florida) where he installed a (MRT supplied) stroker 2.2 WRX engine for a client, and he is now committed to the teams car to ensure its ready in time and 150% in every way.
A few small changes have been done since, new Group A roof scoop, to make the hot Adelaide conditions more bearable, new water spray pump and a compulsory FIA fuel connection to allow fuel testing.
