9th Aug 2002 - Subaru Safari Tasmania
43 cars started the 5th round of the Australian rally championship tonight.
The Subaru Safari Tasmania begun with a massive crowd of thousands of people at
the Super Special Stage of the Derwent Entertainment Centre (Friday night).
Run in reverse order the crowd was still appearing by their hundred as Brett and
Andrew started their run at car 12.
"the track was starting to chop up and I have no need to roll again, so I drove pretty slowly" Brett said. It was a terrible run, the car seemed to have a mind of its own on the uneven course" he added
The team had hoped for a better run as the car debuted a new team Partner, Proform Octane boost. National marketing Manager peter Shields was present to sample the atmosphere of rallying with thousands of people on the river bank of the Derwent River.
"We are also involved in the Mega WRX promo Give away with Auto Cleen and the Pro form range of products" Brett said. see our sponsors.htm and www.hot4's.com.au
